Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of participating in Federal Advocacy Day in Washington D.C. alongside RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine). This annual event brought together over 800 passionate advocates from all 50 states, united by a shared mission: to make family building accessible and equitable for all.
I proudly represented Team California, where I had the opportunity to meet with several Senators and House Representatives to share not just statistics and policy points—but my personal story.
As someone who has walked the often painful, expensive, and emotional path of infertility, I know firsthand the urgent need for expanded access to IVF and fertility care. My journey is one of resilience, hope, and advocacy, and it was deeply empowering to use my voice in these meetings to bring real faces and stories to the legislative table.
This year, our message was clear and bold:
“We have pro-family issues to talk about today.”
We urged Congress to take action on these key issues:
🍼 Promoting IVF Accessibility for All Americans
💼 Expanding Insurance Coverage for IVF, including:
It was powerful to see just how many of us—from diverse backgrounds and experiences—showed up to speak on behalf of the 1 in 6 people worldwide who experience infertility.
This day reminded me of something so important: our voices matter.
Whether you're someone currently struggling to build a family, someone who has been through it, or someone who simply believes that everyone deserves the chance to become a parent—your advocacy makes a difference.
If you’re wondering how to get involved, here are three simple things you can do today:
Let’s keep the momentum going. Families deserve options, support, and the dignity of choice.
Together, we are changing the future of fertility care—one voice at a time.
With hope,
